 I work with individuals, families, and institutions who care deeply about their land and want to steward it thoughtfully over time. My practice is rooted in historic landscapes, ecological systems, and the understanding that meaningful gardens and orchards unfold over years, not seasons. 

All work begins with a Land & Garden Conversation- a focused, paid session where we talk through your property, its history, your hopes for it and the realities of your site.

In winter and early spring, these conversations can take place via Zoom or in person. Once the land is visible, we continue work on site. This seasonal rhythm allows planning and thoughtful decision-making to happen before the growing season begins.

Following our initial conversation, work may take several forms depending on your needs:

     - Site-based consultations and garden walks

     - Written vision plans and long-range planting guidance

     - Design and planning support for gardens, orchards, and landscapes

     - Ongoing stewardship and seasonal advising

Not every project requires all of these steps. Together, we decide what level of engagement best serves the land and your goals.

Thinking in Years, Not Seasons

Most new plantings take several years to settle and mature. At five years, many perennials benefit from division, and trees begin to require more intentional pruning by year three.

My work is guided by this longer view- helping clients make decisions now that will support their landscapes well into the future.
